1. How do I make a Public Information Request?: You may make a Public Information Request by submitting the Public Information Request Form to the Town Secretary. There is a link on the website or you may contact Town Staff to assist you. Many frequently requested items such as minutes, agendas and other forms are readily available on our website. If you need assistance locating these documents please contact our office.

1. How do I obtain an outdoor burn permit?: To obtain a Burn Permit, fill out the online form and follow the criteria for the city in which you live. All of the areas that we serve are addressed on the Lake Cities Fire Department web page under resources dealing with outdoor burning.

2. Why does a fire truck show up when I call for EMS?: In the case of life-threatening emergency, we will dispatch a fire truck along with an EMS unit to provide extra assistance since all of our personnel are trained to provide at least Basic Life Support.

3. What can I legally burn and when can I burn it?: Normally, citizens are allowed to burn small piles of leaves or small limbs as long as the fire is out by sunset and the resident obtains a burn permit by contacting the Lake Cities Fire Department at 940-321-2141.

4. What is your response time?: Based on the 2017 Annual Report the average response time is 6:37.

1. How is trash collection handled?: Beginning Wednesday May 4th Republic Services will be handling solid waste collection and recycling services. Solid Waste and Recyclables will still be collected on Wednesdays. Please contact town hall to sign up for service at 940-498-0044. Customer Service issues maybe reported directly to town hall. 2. I read that all our trash has to be placed inside the cart to be picked up, does this mean that there can't be additional items placed outside the cart?: Republic Services will pick up an additional 5 cubic yards of bulky waste. You may request an additional cart for $8.00 per month. Acceptable items include 1.Toys and Yard Tools tagged as bulk item 2.Furniture 3.Bundled carpet in 4’ lengths 4.Fence panels no larger than 4’X6’ 5.Washing Machines, Dryers, Water Heaters & Kitchen Appliances 6.Refrigerators/Freezers (Must be tagged certifying removal of refrigerants) Unacceptable items include: 1.Commercial Construction and Debris 2.Remodeling Debris 3.Household Hazardous Waste 4.Tires Batteries and Propane Tanks 5.Additional Trash Bags 6.Un-containerized debris

3. Do Senior Citizens receive a discount from Republic Services?: Yes, Senior residents (65 or over) may come into town hall and present their government issued identification (the address on the identification, must match the address on the customer account).

4. Can I use the facilities at Bettye Myers Middle School?: **The track and football field will be available after 6:00pm on weekdays and all day on weekends and school holidays as long as there are no pre-scheduled school activities. The track and field will close at sunset. Dogs and other animals are not allowed. Activities are limited to “pick up type” ball games or individual workouts; no organized team events are allowed.
**The tennis courts are available after 4:30pm on weekdays and all day on weekends and school holidays as long as there are no pre-scheduled school activities. The tennis courts will close at sunset. No bicycle riding or skateboarding on the tennis courts is allowed.
INFORMATION REGARDING THE PUBLIC USE OF INDOOR FACILITIES:
**The campus all purpose room, cafeteria, gymnasiums, and other indoor facilities may be reserved by individual residents completing and returning a “Facility Rental Request” form. Hourly rates for these rentals are provided on the “Rental Request” form, available at the town hall.

5. How can a burn permit be obtained?: Burn permits may be obtained by contacting the Lake Cities Fire Department at 940-279-4590.

6. When is a building permit required and how is one obtained?: Prior to beginning any construction, alteration, or repair on your property, you should stop in at the Community Center during business hours to inquire as to whether a permit is required. The permit must be issued PRIOR to you beginning the project. Some examples of projects that require a permit are listed below. 7. Can I reserve the Community Center for a private function?: Yes; stop in at the Community Center during office hours to inquire about reserving the Community Center.

9. I am a resident with a concern that I would like the council to address. What can I do?: The Mayor welcomes residents with a concern about ANYTHING to address the Town Council at any of their regular or special meetings during the "Citizen's Comments" section of the meeting (typically item #5). If the concern is something which Council can address before their next meeting, every attempt will be made to do so. However, if your concern is something that will require formal Council action, they can place an item on the next Council meeting agenda to discuss their options and take action, if they deem necessary. By presenting your concerns to Council, you can rest assured that the Town is hearing your voice and working to protect our community.

11. What is the Town Hall policy for inclement weather?: In the case of snow or other potentially hazardous weather or emergency situations, Shady Shores Town Hall will follow the decision made by the Denton ISD.

1. How do I get a copy of an accident report?: For a copy of an accident report, please contact the Corinth Police Department or come by the Police Department at 2003 S. Corinth Street Corinth, TX 76210 between Mon - Thur 7:30-5:00 or

2. If my keys are locked in my vehicle, can the Corinth Police open my vehicle for me?: No, however, the Corinth Police Department will assist you in obtaining the services necessary, such as certified locksmith, to unlock your vehicle.
